Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the I am Ballito consumer app and website. By creating an account you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in or visiting South Africa.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in credentials safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Notify us at support@iamballito.app if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Coupons and stamp cards

Coupons and stamp-card rewards are offered by independent local businesses (merchants). I am Ballito issues redemption tokens but is not party to the underlying transaction. Each coupon's terms (expiry, per-user limits, exclusions) are set by the merchant and shown on the coupon detail page. Coupons are not transferable and have no cash value.

4. Redemption

Tokens are valid for 90 seconds. We use cryptographic checks to prevent re-use. If a redemption fails, please retry once before contacting support.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, scrape or attempt to bypass redemption controls.
• Create multiple accounts to claim per-user-limited coupons.
• Resell, transfer or trade coupons or stamp cards.
• Use the platform for unlawful purposes.

6. Content

Editorial articles ("What's On in Ballito") are provided for information only. Business listings are submitted by merchants — we moderate but do not warrant accuracy.

7. Disclaimer

The platform is provided "as is". We disclaim warranties to the maximum extent permitted by South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act where applicable.

8. Liability

Our maximum aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at R500 or the total fees you have paid us in that period, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of KwaZulu-Natal.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email and an in-app banner.
